About me
Hello ,
My name is Robert M. Pollock. I was born and raised in Southern California. The town I grew up in Corona, California. I was born in Downey, California in the year of 1968.
I was born to a hearing family. I was the fourth and the last baby. I was contact with German measles which eventually lead me to became deaf. I was put into John Tracy Clinic to learn how to speak oral and with no sign language. By the time, I was enter 4th grade I attended Margarita elementary school in Montclair in San Bernardino County. At that time, I was living in Corona, California and it was against the law for me to attend this school because I was living in a different county, so by the time I was in the 7th grade, I went to Alessandro Junior High school in (1981-1983) in Sunnymead (Moreno Valley), California and then went to Jurupa Junior High School (1983-84) in Glen Avon ( Now Jurupa), California. Margarita and Alessandro Jr High are no longer existed. You would not find them on Google Maps ;) In 1984, I went to Moreno Valley High School, California and graduated there in 1988.
I attended Riverside Community College for a few years and then transfer to Cypress College for one semester and then I spent three years at Santa Ana College (Rancho Santiago College ) and graduated with AA degree in Liberal Arts in 1993, before I finally decided what major I wanted to study in and decided that the major I choose at California State University at Fullerton was in Geography and received my Bachelor's of Arts in 1994. I earned Geographic Information Systems certification from the University of California, Riverside Geographic Information Systems Extension Program.
I am a part-time adjunct instructor of American Sign Language 1 at New Mexico State University.
